Shock G Presents – “Rocket Science” Comic Book
Back in 2008 I had the honor to work with one of my all-time favorite artists, Shock G of Digital Underground. The Piano Man laid down the keys on what would become “Light of Love” with Lady Alma.
Along with the master discs, Shock also sent me a grip of stuff that I was very grateful for: an autographed photo (framed in my studio, of course!), pamphlets on going vegan…and a hand-drawn comic called “Rocket Science: A Study in…The Geniuses of Drug Law.” The comic purports to be, “America’s No. 1 Vice & Substance Weekly” and is absolutely free to civilians (and a reasonable $5.95 to police officers, shooting way up to $11.99 for politicians. Heh.)
I used to love Shock’s artwork on all of the Digital records. So receiving this was a real treat. As far as I can tell, there’s no record of the comic online. So I wanted to post it so others can share in its genius. Enjoy!
