Who is Sega’s, “Emirin”?
The name is attached to quite a few amazing Sega Genesis/Mega Drive titles (and at least one title for the Sega Master System).
Games include:
Castle of Illusion (1990, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
Quackshot (1991, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
World of Illusion (1992, Sega Genesis/Mega Drive)
Deep Duck Trouble (1993, Sega Master System)
It’s obviously a pseudonym, usually attributed as a game designer for Sega Japan’s (AM7?) early Disney games. But who is it? Even in 2013, at the time of this writing, his/her identity is still unknown.
The best piece of research I could find was this article from Hardcore Gaming 101 focusing on Disney titles for the Genesis.
Anyone else have any other info? Please leave a comment.

Shout out to Vague Rant who chimed in within the comments sections and shed some new insight into the mysterious, “Emirin”!
Emiko Yamamoto (山本恵美子) is a game designer and producer at Disney. She still works at Disney but nowadays seems to be more on the executive side of the business. She’s been a producer on a variety of titles since the ’90s, including big names like Kingdom Hearts.
